What a shame that “retro” turned out to refer to fountain pens in general and not a particular one. (At my house, fountain pens are kind of modern as far as writing implements go.)

by inkophile 04/28/2014 at 9:52 amMy most retro fountain pen–a Sheaffer “No Nonsense” Italic pen from the sixties in suburban rec-room green–will never be mistaken for a status pen, even if the nib was hand shaped and sharpened by the great San Francisco calligrapher Ward Dunham. I have to start writing with it to get ooohs and aaahs.
