12/24/2017Dark green ink is a fixture in my kit whether Montblanc Racing Green or Sailor Tokiwa Matsu and it is always in my holiday rotation. This year the latter is in a silver Pilot Metropolitan with a medium nib. Holiday perfection!

I am always looking for a good dark green ink.

The old Montblanc British Racing green – looking for a replacement that’s not too expensive.

Ah, MBRG. In my experience, there is no exact duplicate and at this point, I don’t think there ever will be. It had a little more yellow and a lot more black than anything in my collection that would approach it. Try some samples. You might find an ink you like even better. I am totally content to use Sailor Epinard or Tokiwa-Matsu. They are more green than black, but perform beautifully in every pen. What more can I ask from an ink?
