Portable Painter Debut11/04/2016
Sketching with a fountain pen has a long tradition. Pens are easy to carry and, along with a suitable journal, provide a convenient way to put down a scene. But some of us want to add color for a more complete rendering or create a painting down to the last detail. Lugging around a full kit on the chance an amazing opportunity will find us is overkill especially for an urban sketcher. Better would be a watercolor set that works in varied conditions, fits in a pocket or purse, and provides all that is needed to do the job. Enter the Portable Painter.
This new watercolor palette got its debut on Indiegogo a few days ago and has all the attributes a journal or watercolor fan could want in a carry-anywhere painting kit. Well, except the paint since you get to fill the included pans with your preferred tube colors. Outfitted with a generous thirteen mixing wells, two water containers and a double brush, all you do is add paint and paper. Oh, and a little water. Then hit the trail. Sidewalk or dirt path, the Portable Painter will be a welcome companion.
