It’s Spring And Time For A Paper And Ink Giveaway
03/20/2015Exaclair is making you an offer you can’t refuse: a notebook plus ink for five readers. The paper is from Clairefontaine’s “Moulin Rouge” collection of notebooks in the pocket size with a different design for each winner. These are not sold in the U.S. which makes them a rare treat. Filled with Clairefontaine paper, this is a notebook that won’t go to waste.
Also, included will be a 10 ml bottle of J. Herbin Rouge Caroubier ink. That’s more than enough ink to get acquainted and hooked on a slightly warm, pinkish-red that is lovely for spring and summer. In a free-flowing nib, I found it a good substitute for a bright red when a bit of subtlety is in order.
To enter the giveaway, just post a comment and a sentence or two about how you would use your ink and pad. This offer is open to residents of the U.S. only. One entry per person with five random winners to be selected, 3/31/2015, at 6pm PDT. Each winner will have until 4/05/2015 to claim their prizes. If not, a replacement winner will be selected. Fulfillment will be handled by Exaclair.
Thank you, Karen, for making this giveaway possible and allowing Inkophile to host it.
Very cool! I would use the ink in my daughter’s Lamy ABC, and help her write in the notebook to help encourage her to continue exploring the joys of fountain pens.

Jot notes of a visit to Mélodie Graphique, a stationery shop in the Marais (5th Arr.) that has a wall of J. Herbin ink; walks about île St-Louis, and breakfast at Les Deux Magots – where one can find daily at least one person writing in a notebook with a fountain pen. Merci!

by David E Bock 03/21/2015 at 9:10 amI use the J. Herbin Rouge Caroubier ink for grading. It is a softer red but noticeable, so the students aren’t as intimidated when I write on their submissions. The bottle is almost empty, so a replacement would be great! And the notebooks would be put to good use for spring. I use notebooks all the time; for lists, observations, class prep. Yes, I could put all of that on my phone, but the act of writing reinforces the best.
