Rhodia Ice And A Giveaway
07/27/2014Score another winner for Rhodia with the recently introduced “Ice” tablets honoring the company’s 80th anniversary. Pure white paper with gray lines and a white cover with silver lettering embellished with snow covered pine trees. Brrr! It’s chilly out there.
Exaclair, U.S. distributor of G. Lalo products, is offering a giveaway to four Inkophile readers who want to try Rhodia Ice No. 16 pads in the grid style. To enter just post a comment and a sentence or two about how you would use an icy pad. This offer is open to residents of the U.S. only. One entry per person with four random winners to be selected on 8/03/2014 at 6pm PDT. Each winner will have until 8/13/2014 to respond. If not, a replacement winner will be selected. I would LOVE to use an icy pad for all of my fountain-pen shenanigans! I always have a few of the black-cover Rhodias going at any one time, and a silver sister would fit so nicely in that crowd!

So cool of them! Where I have any choice, I prefer grid paper; it seems the vertical guide in addition to horizontal lines gives me the neatest penmanship. As a fountain pen devotee, I also love good quality paper. I’m dying to see the paler ink, since like you, I find the Rhodia lines often too dark for my preference.

I’m in the middle of learning Japanese right now. Some lightly gridded paper would be awesome to write on!

What a lovely and elegant style! I love Rhodia grid and dot pads for everything from handwriting practice to doodling. There’s no other paper that handles my fountain pens as smoothly. Right now I am practicing my embroidery stitches. I think that an elegant white grid notepad would be wonderful for sketching embroidery stitch designs!

I love grid paper for working geometrical art. Rhodia/Clairfontaine paper is so gorgeous to use and I’d love to try the new Ice.

I can’t tell you how much I enjoy your blog. I spend almost as much time here as I spend writing with my fountain pen collection on Rhodia Notepads…everything from letters to ink journals, lists and story ideas. The Rhodia Ice No. 16 graph notepad would be perfect for my beloved Nemosine Demonstrator and new tales to be told.

So cool! I’d probably start out using it for testing new fountain pens, but I’d inevitably end up writing to-do lists on it. All of my notebooks end up with to-do lists in them!

I am a Rhodia fan. I use the no 18 lined for major note taking sessions and carry a No 16 dot grid in my iPad case for impromptu occasions. I scan all my notes into Evernote, so the perforated pad works nicely. I would love to try the Ice. It would most likely be my next carry-around pad. Thanks for the chance.

Oh wow, I could see using these for ink samples or plotting out some of my character development for my novel I’m working on. The grid design makes me want to write in my ‘architect’ style of cap printing. All with a fountain pen, of course, and various inks.
