G. Lalo Coreale Notecards And A Giveaway

Regardless, from Jimmy Fallon to Ralph Lauren, this form of person to person connection is on the upswing and a welcome counter to the mechanical means of communication to which we have become all too accustomed.
Want to participate? Regardless of the tool with which you choose to write, quality counts so use a heavy card stock like G. Lalo Coreale Notecards. The paper is 250g card stock and features deckle edges. Coreale comes in Lagoon (blue), Taupe, Lilac, Fuchsia, Ivory and Grey in packets of ten cards with tissue-lined envelopes. I love the colors! So distinctive.
I’d use them to let everyone know I’ve moved. They’re the perfect size for a gracious note.
That blue positively screams for a stub nib loaded with dark ink. Whereas the gray would allow something with shading…

These notecards look like a fantastic compliment or alternative to email. We are also ‘constantly on the lookout’ for fountain pen friendly paper. The best we have found so far, which we use in all our notebooks, is a calender finished paper from a Scottish paper mill. It’s not cheap but we haven’t discovered anything better yet. Anyone know of a more fountain pen friendly paper?

These have a faint texture that does well with ball nibs, but not cursive italics or some sharper-cornered stubs. Clairefontaine, Rhodia, Quo Vadis, & a non-Exaclair brand called Cavallini are all wonderful.

Found the most luscious raspberry color at European Paper Company. Which led me to the apricot stationery. You are EVIL showing all these luscious goodies right when I need to stock my new office!

I would’ve gone for this lovely blue, too, if they’d had it in stock. Now after this article gets seen, there’ll be a feeding frenzy, so I got my order in while they had the colors I craved.

Herbin is always tempting. Heard on FPN that their 100ml bottles are being discontinued? Hope not. That’s the only usable sized bottle for big pens.

The colors are wonderful! I would use them to send thank you notes to all those who have helped my family while my father has been in the hospital. AND to justify a new ink color to match the notecard.

I send cards to friends and family just to remind them that the actual written word has not gone the way of the dodo bird. This stationery would be like a graceful swan, so no “chicken scratches” allowed 🙂

Oooh! These are fantastically lovely & I am gaga for this colour lately. I would add some washi tape or a bit of gouache and use them as notes to send to pen pals, friends I haven’t kept up with or as notes to my family. I’m an inveterate card-sender and always love blank notes for those thinking of you moments. (I hope this posts only once. I got an error on my first try)

I would keep half the box and send the other half to one of my grandsons. He is interested in penpals and sending notes and letters to his Nana. The color is great for me and for a ten year old little boy.

I’ve made a commitment this year to write a letter/note a week — not exactly back-breaking, but a bit of a stretch for me. What a splash my notes would make on Lagoon cards (pun totally intended)!

Such a lovely shade of blue, and I am always a big fan of the rougher edges. It gives a more home made look. I would love to leave these cards randomly around the house for my wife to find. A little token of my appreciation for her and calligraphy practice to boot!

These notecards are in my favorite color! I would probably send thank yous to my best friend, my grandma, my therapist, and my career counselor. Saying “thank you” is a very important part of being a kind person. Plus my Waterman fountain pen would appreciate the luxury of this stock.

thanks for the giveaway! i would use them to send my friends who are far and close to communicate with them. There’s something special about receiving hand written notes in the mail as opposed to generic script typed on the computer. Hand writing is more personal as well.

Oh these are lovely. I would use this for my correspondence to my friend who I always send letters. And I always use a fountain pen. We’ve been sending each other letters for over ten years now and we both love really pretty paper.

And…I would either use the 40s-era Eversharp fountain pen that her father gave me, or I would use my italic-nibbed Safari, since that makes my handwriting look better. 🙂

Every year I solicit five people on social media ask for their addresses and send them a handwritten letter unannounced some time later that same year. This is my third year doing so and the G. Lalo Stationary would bring that extra little piece of class to the endeavor.

I have just returned from Ireland and meeting my favourite author, JP Donleavy, I booked my first night in Dublin and just around the corner from my temporary abode, The Blooms Hotel, was the glorious shop The Pen Corner, on College Green. I bought a whole box of G. Lalo cards and envelopes. And I used the first one as a thank you note for agreeing to see me at his home.

Today I mailed five hand written notes. I love to send handwritten correspondence. I write only with fountain pens so paper choice is important. I love quality paper. Also I want the USPS to be around forever.
