So that’s what’s on my list. What made it to yours?
Note: Reviews of Tomoe River paper, Paperblanks journals and Jackson’s Watercolors are in the works.
Note: Three programs emerged as incredibly useful, Evernote, Janetter for Twitter and MalwareBytes. Spotify is my choice for music and OmmWriter for distraction-free writing.
Historical Note: In 1884 Lewis Waterman developed the fountain pen. He took 10 years to perfect his invention.
A very cool list, thanks incophile. Never heard of Noodler’s, I must try it. What do you think is the best functional notebook and best notebook paper? We are aiming to beat all with our new Stamford Noteboks. Regards, Paul (UK)

Thank you. The list is a good place to start for paper comparisons. For fountain pen use, Clairefontaine and Rhodia are excellent. Tomoe River paper is outstanding as are many paper products from Japan.
Noodler’s is a U.S. ink and not as available elsewhere. Amazon and Pure Pens are two U.K. sources though there are others. You’ll find a number of posts about it here, but I’m a fan. Check Fountain Pen Network for more opinions. Noodler’s Black has been in my collection for nearly ten years and has never disappointed me.

I am keen to hear what you think of the Paperback notebook’s paper-stock- Is it Fountain pen friendly?

Paperblanks paper is fine with some fountain pen inks. The review will include an image that shows performance and should get completed in the next couple of days and post by the end of the week.

I am looking forward to it as I have often admired the beautiful covers on Paperblanks notebooks but wasn’t will to buy one to see if they were OK.

Noodler’s Antietam and Diamine Oxblood – gorgeous inks and my new favorite colors to write with. Noodler’s Ellis Island is interesting too – use it for my ancestry research of course.
