  2. Great links. I used to have a betta fish. Still love him – RIP!

    • Me, too, Erin. Been thinking it’s time to do that again. My one gallon, ginormous snifter has been empty for too long. Flash, a white betta, lived in it for five or six years. With some plants for privacy and oxygen, and regular water changes for health, he lived a long time for his species. Yep, it just might be the right time or at least I can look, can’t I? How about you?

  3. Had mine for about a year. A lovely blue fellow. He just had a bowl and did quite well. Eventually he got sick and then I would put medicine into his water. He died after a fanatical last swim around the bowl to some orchestral music. Then he made his exit.

I miss having one, but have never found one like my little buddy.

    • Awww. Some of them do have amazing personalities. If you really want to find another one, you will. Even in those tiny containers in a pet store, some bettas are more outgoing and interested in their surroundings. That sort fills the larger bowls in more than just a physical sense.
