Me, too, Erin. Been thinking it’s time to do that again. My one gallon, ginormous snifter has been empty for too long. Flash, a white betta, lived in it for five or six years. With some plants for privacy and oxygen, and regular water changes for health, he lived a long time for his species. Yep, it just might be the right time or at least I can look, can’t I? How about you?

Had mine for about a year. A lovely blue fellow. He just had a bowl and did quite well. Eventually he got sick and then I would put medicine into his water. He died after a fanatical last swim around the bowl to some orchestral music. Then he made his exit.
I miss having one, but have never found one like my little buddy.

Awww. Some of them do have amazing personalities. If you really want to find another one, you will. Even in those tiny containers in a pet store, some bettas are more outgoing and interested in their surroundings. That sort fills the larger bowls in more than just a physical sense.
