New Iroshizuku Inks For 201108/27/2011
Yes, you read that right. There are new Pilot Iroshizuku colors but don’t get too excited yet. It will be months before you can buy them in the U.S. though if you are willing to pay the price, they are available in Japan.
Bruno Taut at Crónicas Estilográficas has posted some images as has Stationery Village. We shall see how the translations shake out but there is a brown, a purple, a green, and what looks like a peachy-pink. The brown appears to have more yellow than the two brown inks already on offer. The purple is a bright one and may lean more red than blue. The green is a clear, bright shade that looks like a dark, spring green. If not, it might be closer to a true green like the bamboo for which it is named. The last color is hard to peg based on the images. Though it is called Cosmos like the flower, it might be a coral but without a written sample that is only a guess.
Whether you find these colors compelling or not, they do add missing elements to the Iroshizuku line and show a commitment on the part of Pilot to continued expansion. Both are good news to an inkophile.
