Cautionary Tale for Ink Enthusiasts

2009/11/13

This week Phthalo posted a cautionary tale at The Laurel Tree called Bad Laurel, No Biscuit about the dangers of leaving ink in a fountain pen too long. Two of my favorites in her collection were involved but no spoilers. You’ll just have to read her post to see how the story ends.

While I haven’t lost a pen so far, there are a couple of formerly pristine vintage ones in my collection that deserved better than the stains they’ve acquired in recent times.

So take heed, fellow inkophiles. That colorful fluid is beautiful stuff but it can make a mess and not only on your inky fingers.
