Pentel Brush Pen Doodle Over Copic Scribble

2009/11/06

A recent conversation about the Pentel Pocket Brush Pen inspired some doodling last night with an earlier test of the Copic Sketch Marker BG93 serving as a soft, sage background. I love how similar the use of the brush pen is to using a real Chinese brush.

  2. Pretty!! Does the brush pen have bristles or is it felt?

  3. Thank you. Yes, the Pentel does have bristles. The plant leaves were all made with a single stroke by varying the pressure from extremely light to fairly heavy. I haven’t found a felt pen that can produce that kind of line. Would be interested to hear of one that can.
